How settlement works

Every FanGram question names its resolution source before it opens, locks on the server’s clock, and settles on the record. Open, locked, settled or void — the whole machine, in plain language.

1. Open — the question is live with its “Settles by…” line and named source already on it. One call per fan, free.
2. Locked — at lock time calls close on the server’s clock, not your screen’s. A locked call can never be changed.
3. Settled — the result goes official at the named source and the question settles on exactly one of its own options. Reward Coins land instantly.
4. Void — if the source never gives a clean answer, the question is voided and every call is released. Nobody is worse off.

How does a question settle?

Every question names its resolution source before it opens — an official scorecard, a league result, a broadcast. At lock time calls close on the server’s clock. When the result is official at that source, the question settles on exactly one of its own options. If the source never gives a clean answer, the question is voided and every call is released.

Can I change a call once it is locked?

No. One call per fan per question, and a locked call can never be changed — yours or anyone else’s. That is what makes the leaderboard mean something.
